CLE/Social/Lunch, July 27
Join your fellow attorneys, your state and federal judges, and soon to be lawyers from UO law school from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Eugene Federal Courthouse jury assembly room, for a free lunch and social gathering.
We offer another free CLE: Federal Conflicts with Oregon Legal Marijuana Programs. Judy Giers, Deputy Chief General Counsel at the DOJ and Rob Bovett, Legal Counsel at the Association of Oregon Counties, will present an overview of issues stemming from the implementation and regulation of Oregon’s legal marijuana programs, including challenges and conflicts with law enforcement, banking, taxation, pesticide use, food safety, local land use, and employment. With a special guest appearance by Judge Mustafa Kasubhai on the Lane County Circuit Court’s handling of marijuana in conditions of probation.
Please RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org so we know how much of the FREE MUNCHIES to prepare. If you forget to RSVP, come anyway! Your free lunch and free CLE is courtesy of the U.S. District Court of Oregon attorney admission fund.
Sponsored by the Lane County Circuit Court, Oregon Federal District Court, Oregon Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, UO School of Law, LCBA Federal Court and Debtor/Creditor committees, and the Lane County Women Lawyers.
