Sections
The LCBA Board of Directors maintains & supports a variety of LCBA Sections (formerly “Committees”)
BENEFITS
Sections are focused communities made up of volunteers who gather together to strengthen associations within specific: (1) practice areas -OR- (2) programs (e.g. Mentoring or Pro Bono).
They provide more focused connections through a variety of: (1) leadership, (2) networking -AND- (3) educational functions, for associated Section Members.
Separately, our LCBA Sections webpage can be an efficient way: (1) to find specialized attorneys to refer cases to -AND- (2) for associated Section Members to get Client case referrals.
Each section “Chair” is provided an LCBA Board Liaison to provide practical support to: (1) form, (2) fund -AND- (3) promote Section activities (e.g. planning + CLE events + socials).
Association with LCBA Sections—relevant to your specific practice—are INCLUDED in your annual dues.
JOIN
To become a Section member (no additional cost), simply select the section(s) you are interested in when you renew or join the LCBA.
LEADERSHIP
To nominate -OR- request appointment as “Chair” of an existing LCBA Section -OR- if forming a new one, simply email Sections@LaneCountyBar.org.
Access to Justice
The committee was conceived as a group to support and organize pro bono assistance to those in need in Lane County.

The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee meets to discuss strategies and techniques for resolving legal conflicts in ways other than court proceedings.
